Meet Your Dedicated Diabetes Health Coach: Emma,
The Diabetic Duchess
When you reach the point of feeling like the whole universe is conspiring against your health or like you’ll never lose weight or get your blood sugar under control, then it's time to rewrite your narrative and embrace a new approach to living with type 2 diabetes
Let me help you debunk the myths about diabetes that hold you back, shatter the illusions that having diabetes makes it impossible to lose weight and help you learn new habits to defy type 2 diabetes.
I've been a diabetic for 45 years and have walked an incredible path to finding great health. It's time to break free from the patterns, gain your confidence, and rewrite your diabetes story. Let's embark on this journey together and redefine what's possible for your health.
I am on a mission to help type 2 diabetic women to lose weight and defy diabetes.
In my early 50s, I was faced with the prospect of facing my latter years with chronic kidney disease and poor eyesight due to the damage done by the condition. At that time, I was offered a simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplant by my medical team. Something made me question this approach and challenge what might be possible.
I started a period of frenzied research and ultimately decided not to progress with this form of treatment. Instead, I decided to quite simply ‘change my life’ and to no longer be a 'victim' of the condition, I started to do a number of things to dramatically improve my diabetes control and to reverse some of my diabetes related complications.
It is now my life purpose to help other diabetic women to do the same.
I have a first degree in Food Science and Food Economics, an Executive MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
